Betsey Johnson

The Best of Betsey by Danielle Candido

Celebrating her 50th year in fashion, the unapologetically individualistic Betsey Johnson threw the party of the (half) century. With an over-the-top collection bringing life to each of Johnson's decades in business, Morgan Taylor lead artist Danielle Candido complemented with nail styles as beautifully outrageous as Betsey herself.

LOOK ONE: Morgan Taylor's Danielle Candido used a coat of vibrant red Pretty Woman, followed by a coat of the dark and stormy New York State of Mind, completed with 2 layers of glittery Rare as Rubies. The nail shape was a hybrid between almond and stiletto, which was rightfully dubbed \"almondetto.\"

LOOK TWO: To achieve this Warhol wonder nail, Morgan Taylor's Danielle Candido began with a base of All White Now and several precisely painted black lines with Little Black Dress. Various silver metallic accent lines were also added in using Could Have Foiled Me. The nails were filed square to keep with the geometric tendencies true to Betsey's designs of the late twentieth century.

LOOK THREE: A groovy blend of Morgan Taylor neons, including All White Now, Don't Touch Me I'm Radioactive, Pink Flame-ingo, Sitting Pretty, Don't Worry Be Brilliant and Water Baby. These naturally filed nails were created using a psychedelic inspired water marbled effect.
