Sounds simple enough … unless you’re not gifted with beautiful natural nails. If your nails aren’t as healthy as you’d like, pulling off the chic, minimalist look can feel like a challenge. But there’s good news! You don’t need naturally long or sturdy nails to rock this trend. The secret? Gelish HEMA-free, color-enhanced Brush-On Builder—a solution designed to give you the length, strength and durability for the perfect nude look while caring for your nails, too.
Dry prep your nails (i.e., don’t soak) by filing the free edge and pushing back cuticles. Apply a thin coat of pH Bond Nail Prep followed by Foundation Base Gel, and cure for 5 seconds.
Using the brush applicator, apply a thin layer of Gelish Brush-On Builder in your nude shade of choice, starting at the base of the nail and working to the free edge. Then, float a bead down the center of the nail and flash cure for 10 seconds.
Apply an additional layer on all nails, and cure for 30 seconds. This will create a beautifully even, durable foundation for your nude nail look.
Remove the tacky layer with Gelish Nail Surface Cleanse. Then shape the free edge and contour the surface of the nail with a Gelish 180/180 grit file. Buff the nail with a 100/180 buffer, and cleanse once again to remove any remaining dust.
Apply high-shine Top It Off to seal and protect your nails, and cure for 30 seconds. Cleanse again.
